Drum Lessons

Drumming Tuition is provided by coach Simon Ridley, an experienced gigging and session musician who has taught Drums for nearly 10 years

Simon has taught hundreds of students of all ages and abilities to play and will make learning the drums as fun as possible - although there is no getting around the fact you need to practice practice practice!

Students learn on an acoustic drum kit, in an acoustically treated air-conditioned room. Also in the room is a PA system so you can play along to your favourite songs!

Some of the core subjects covered in lessons include:

- Learning to play the drums - using either my own course material or any books/syllabus that you choose (e.g. Rockschool / Grades)

- How to read/write drum notation

- Learning to play the drum beats from your favourite songs

- Playing along to your favorite tracks

- Setting up, tuning, re-skinning drums as well as buying advice

- Any other topics you wish to cover!

Quick tip: Bring earplugs as the drums can be loud!
