River Studios

River Studios is proud to be the home of  The Southern School Of Popular Singing.

The Southern School of Popular Singing, established 15 years ago, provides first class vocal tuition to a wide range of pupils across the South of England from it’s vocal studios in Southampton, Hampshire.

We have 5 private voice coaches who offer singing lessons for all levels of ability from children from the age of 6 through to professional singers wishing to improve their technique. A diverse range of styles are catered for, using innovative vocal coaching methods that have been tried and tested on over a 120 Grammy Award Winning artists. Our vocal studios are easily accessed by road, rail or bus with pupils traveling not just from Southampton and Salisbury, but Winchester, Fareham, Portsmouth, Chichester, Basingstoke, Warminster and even Bristol and Bath.

For those who like to be part of a group of vocalists, either in addition to having one to one lessons, or in place of them, to build confidence or explore performance opportunities, we have our adult performance group, En Masse and our Under 16′s group, The E Minor Pop Academy, both of which you can find out more about by clicking the menus on the left. En Masse rehearse in our dance studio on Wednesday nights from 7.30pm to 10pm and E Minor Pop Academy are in there from 10am to 3pm every Saturday.
