Beginner piano lessons in Southampton
Our beginner piano lessons provide an excellent introduction to piano basics, aimed at students of all ages and abilities.
Under the tuition and guidance of a professional piano tutor, you will learn how to read and play simple piano pieces whilst improving fundamental keyboard techniques.
Learn on the piano to:

Can anyone learn how to play the piano?
We believe anyone can which is why we offer a taster session for those still unsure about their ability. During the beginner sessions our tutor will help you discover what could be a hidden talent, which will be the gateway to developing your pianist skills.
As long as you are eager to learn, are motivated, and enthusiastic, there’s no reason why you can’t learn to play the piano at our Southampton studio.
How many piano lessons will I need each week?
We recommend that beginners start off with a lessona week if they have the time. However, we understand that might not be possible, so offer flexible schedules and dates to suit you.
We offer Southampton piano lessons in either 30 or 60 minute chunks. We find that this is ideal for beginners and is just the right amount of time to help you learn at a decent pace.
How long will it take me to learn the basics of piano playing?
With the guidance of our expert piano tutors we believe most people should be able to get a grasp of the basics after 12 lessons.
If you can spend time at home practising what you have learned, then there’s no reason why you can’t accelerate your proficiency.
Even the most advanced pianists can improve their skills, as piano playing is a lifetime commitment!
Will I need to practise at home?
Ideally you should practise what you learn during your piano lessons, outside of our studio.
We would recommend that beginners practise for half an hour a day once they have committed to learning.
Combining practise with your lessons will mean you can start to master the basics of piano playing a lot quicker.
